Here is an unused, unopened deck of Eagle Deluxe five-suit bridge playing cards with gilt edges. It is still wrapped in its original cellophane and has the tax stamp on both ends. The cellophane is brittle and has begun to tear at the edges but is largely intact.Five-suit bridge was a short-lived craze in the late 1930s, and this decks was probably made in 1938 when the game was introduced. The design of the fifth suit varied from country to country, but in the United States it was green eagles, and that is presumably what you will find inside this deck if and when you open it.The short lifespan of five-suit bridge and the unopened condition of this deck make it a highly unusual find.
