Measurements are 89" length and 74" in width. is a little history on the Wool Blankets:Witney Blankets have been keeping the world warm for over 300 years, making them old timers in the blanket trade. Early's of Witney was founded in 1669 and is still in production today. The ruggest strength of Witney -point- blankets is due to careful experienced wool blending, spinning, and to their tough twill weave. With an extra weight of yarn woven into them, today they are your guarantee of generous extra weight.-Points- are the stripes on one side of the blanket, and was a system developed not only to indicate how big the blanket was, but in some cases, the price of the blankets as well. One example of how they were used was in the fur trade era. Hudson's Bay traders would trade beaver pelts for the blankets - a 4 -point- would go for four beaver pelts. Other trades would be based off of that standard. Email with any questions and thank you for looking.
