Gorgeous pair of vintage End of Trail Native American bookends. These are solid bronze finished, iron bookends, (they appear to be solid cast, not hollow cast, because there are no mold lines, and they are quite heavy). They are very detailed Indian on horse with lance, depicting the End of the Trail. Nice patina on these; stand 6 tall x 5 long. A beautiful addition to your library or office! (Many manufacturers made these in various forms and metals, but these appear to be early ones; apparentely the first sculptor of this item did not copyright it.) (ts, 7/07)
