This listing is for a Vintage Franklin Delano Roosevelt FDR Cast Aluminum Clock. I don't know exactly how old this item is, but it certainly merits the word "vintage". Clock features FDR standing at a ship's wheel above the inscription, "At The Wheel For A New Deal". The "New Deal" of course being Roosevelt's plan for getting the United States out of the Great Depression. This clock stands 13.75 inches tall, and is 9.5 inches at its widest. I was told that this clock was originally coated with a bronze finish, and that the finish was removed by sandblasting it off. This consequently put two small holes in the base, and may have lead to some of the minor cracks in FDR's back. This is an electric clock, made in the USA by the Gibraltar Electric Clock Company, in New Jersey. The back of this clock is marked with the company's name, as well as "#115". This clock is missing its power cord, so I can not tell if it works. This is just one of the many unsual items I list on Ebay, check out my other listings for even more unusual things!
