~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beatufiul, 100% hand-woven roll of antique/vintage European hemp/linen roll measuring ~*~( 17.66 yards) 53 feet long by 22.44 inches wide (16.3 meters by 56cm) ~*~* If you are looking for a textile, that will last for 200 years, this is your textile!~*~ This Wonderful wonderful roll is a beautiful herringbone weave with a wonderful hemp and cotton mix~ the most lovely thick weave, with quite a lovely rustic appeal~ This roll has a stunning quite pale tone, with an amazing and rare herringbone weave. The other side is the is the reverse of the herringbone, both sides are wonderful and very unique!!The herringbone weave side of this lovely roll has some beautiful surface texture and the other side is slightly smoother~*~ perfect for single or multiple projects! ~*~ This beautiful roll has a wonderful hand stitched monogram on the end to mark the weaver and a small 12 also, that means the roll was woven in 1912 by someone with the initial of H ~ wonderful! ~*~ it is a really wonderful textile treasure. these heavy weight rolls make the most amazing upholstery fabric, curtains, bedding, pillows, and are amazingly durable, beautiful texture ~*~* I am able to match longer yardage pieces of this textile should one require more yards for a large project as my backstock is vast, please email me with any questions~*~ ( I have attached some photographs of some upholstery projects that have been created by my designers using my linen~*~ ( furniture not included in this buy it now) Perfect for slip covers, coverlets, blankets, lamp shades, curtains, upholstery, runners, tablecloths, napkins, clothing....you name it! This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my backstock is vast and I can usually match larger quantities for large projects~*~ This roll is very very beautiful~*~* *~* This roll is in wonderful unused condition~ There are some pale dirt marks on this roll that will wash, just wonderful. ~*~ washing is very easy! Perfect for easy lifestyles~*~ Please see below~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on warm if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! It can be washed on regular cycle to soften or one can use liquid fabric softener if desired. Most of my rolls don't tend to need any additional help with softening as they have a lovely texture as is~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~ These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years.
