Red Mill Antiques . This is one of a nice group of vintage felt souvenir pennants we got from an estate recently; they’re all from New York State locations, many from the area w I grew up (I swam at Lake Kanawauke as a kid, it was only about 10 miles from my childhood home), I went to Bear Mountain often, had relatives near Monticello, etc. These were a real trip down memory lane for me. This auction is for a vintage felt pennant from Bear Mountain Bridge on the Hudson River in NY. The pennant measures 29” in length and the condition is very good. The scene of the bridge and river includes a Steamboat, I know that t was steamboat service from NYC to Bear Mountain Park from c.1913 until at least the 1930’s but I’m not sure when they stopped running – probably shortly after the Palisades Parkway/Route 9W were completed in the late 20’s or early 30’s. The scene and lettering are screen printed, not embroidered. Don’t miss any of these great vintage souvenir pennants!
