This is a lovely vintage eiderdown in wonderful condition for its age, circa 1940s. The eiderdown is covered with a pretty floral cotton fabric, the same design on both sides, in shades of pale pink, raspberry, violet, lemon and green on a cream ground. It is edged with an Oxford-style frill in the same fabric and it also has four small ventilation holes, one in each corner, which is a sign of an eiderdown of quality. The quilt is very plump and it is filled with feather and down. I think it has more down in the filling than feather because it is fairly light in weight ~ again the sign of a good quality quilt and a very warm one. All the channels are well filled and they are stitched into an attractive design. The eiderdown is in an excellent vintage condition with no stains or fabric damage. It is very gently faded, on one side more than the other, which is to be expected with an eiderdown of this age, and it has been freshly laundered ready to use. It is a single size and measures approximately 64" x 44". Thanks for looking ~ from a smoke-free home
