Up for auction vintage Frank Oda velvet painting. This painting was done most likely in the late 1940's. The artist after pearl harbor went back to his real name Hale Pua but used the Frank Oda name before and after WW11. Frank Oda is one of the premier and foremost famous of the Hawaiian artists. He's beautiful paintings of exotic Hawaiian tropical flowers are highly collectible. This painting is of the wild ginger, one of his popular floral black velvets and has his signature on the bottom right hand side. The painting is in excellent condition .No rips, tears or scratches .The colors are still rich and vibrant. The wood frame is in excellent condition and compliments the velvet. It measures 14 inches by 12.The back is also original because it has the original gold Frank Oda sticker explaining the origin of the flower.
