This vintage figural lamp is in excellent condition with minor wear for it's age. The lamp measures approximately 45" tall from the top of the finial to the bottom of the base. The body of the lamp measures approximately 25-1/2" tall from the top of the head to the bottom of the base. The base of the lamp measures approximately 10" in diameter. It is signed on the backside of the base "L&F Moreau." L&F stands for Louis Auguste Moreau and Hippolyte Francois Moreau. They were two brothers from the Moreau family of sculptors from Dijon, France (also famous for the mustard). Louis worked in bronze and metal sculpture while Francois was a painter and sculptor. They collaborated on many highly ornate and detailed decorative pieces in the Art Nouveau era and signed their pieces "L & F Moreau". The stamp on the back indicates that this piece is from the Francois Collection. Please view the photos carefully as they are apart of the description.
