Hello and Thank You for looking at another of my offerings. Here we have a 1930's / 1940's Ellisco Seraphin Gasoline Test Container. Red in color and rather vibrant, the container is in rather good condition for it's age. It has a handle, some sort of gauge that's very legible and the name ELLISCO SERAPHIN with raised letters around the center band. It shows wear, however there are no large dents, a few small dings. There are scratches but nothing to deter from is overall appearance, actually it's patina is rather neat. The top opening is very round and not out of shape. The bottom is good, the weld seems to be very good, there is some rust around the bottom rim where it seems to have sat on concrete flooring. It is 20" high and 34 1/2" around at it's largest point. I've used this in a variety of uses, I've used this as an attractive holder for my fireplace tools next to my fireplace and I've also used it to put tall grasses in near my entry hall. It is a great conversation item, not only for what it was once used for but for it's attractive color. Great item for the collector as well. It's rather heavy at 7 1/4 LBS without boxing and packing materials. Good luck in bidding, you will enjoy this as much as I have.
