Lovely vintage celluloid doll, probably made in the 1920's or 30's in Germany. She is marked with the turtle mark, then T 28 1/2. The doll is all celluloid and is 11" tall. She is jointed at the shoulders and hips. She has a blonde curly mohair wig and inset brown glass eyes. Her elaborate original outfit is very detailed and of the highest quality. She has a finely embroidered bonnet with wool trim, a scarf with a metal medallion, a muslin blouse with tiny lace trim and a woven vest with fancy metal fasteners and ties. Her wool apron has a braid sash with pompoms, and her cotton skirt has braid trim. She is wearing undies too, but has lost her shoes- I will look for them. All in excellent condition.
