This sign is not one of the porcelain signs - It is a later Painted sign. Sperry quit making the porcelain signs as they were too expensive and starting doing painted signs. If any one can tell me when they starting using painted signs PLEASE LET ME KNOW.The sign was looked at by an Antique Dealer of 44 years and she said this is not a reproduction, but a true S&H Green Stamp Sign. She said she sold one just like it many years ago.For sale is a S&H Green Stamps double sided metal advertising sign (with original metal hanging bracket). The sign is marked M210, Stout Sign Co., St. Louis, MO, made in the USA. Sign is 25 1/2" tall x 20" wide (excluding metal hanging bracket). The sign shows normal wear for age (rust, scratches, tar spots) and being hung for an extended time, but lettering is in good shape. The hanging bracket is marked "Silent Service", patent pending, automatic device.
