Outstanding piece of California pottery dates to the late 40s - early 50s from Hedi Schoop. This piece is known as "Josephine" inspired by legendary singer and dancer Josephine Baker. The figure stands approx. 13" tall. Josephine poses with basket under her right arm and left hand on hip. This version has the palm tree motif. Marked on the bottom "Hedi Schoop Hollywood, Cal" Piece is minty. No chips. No cracks Clean. An exceptional and highly desirable piece of vintage pottery.
