Beautiful Vintage Holy Mother Virgin Mary Last Rites Statuary or Holy Water Font - Not Sure? - Really Cool! Looks as though it is made of plaster but is hollow. In the back of the lower base, there is a compartment where holy water was most likely stored? Below Mary in the Front is the Text: "God Bless Our Home", This Last Rites Statuary or Holy Water Font was most likely used in a Catholic Home for the family. There is also a hole behind the Cross in the front where a receptacle could have been place for Holy Water - not sure? Good Vintage Condition. Has some minor paint loss here and there but nothing major. On one corner of the Base there is a small chip in the back and when standing on a table is virtually unnoticeable. Measures approximately 10.25 Inches across its base and 3 Inches deep. Almost 16 Inches in Height. This is a subtstantial piece weighing approximately 7 pounds, 3 Ounces. This Virgin Mary ia so beautiful! Makes for a great decorative piece for burning tealight candles in front or use it for purpose intended! and Many Blessings!
