Up for auction is a Vintage Hopi Navan Kachina Doll circa 1950s-60s by well-known Hopi Carver Oswald White Bear Fredericks, whose father was the brother of Wilson Tawaquaptewa. White Bear was an accomplished carver and painter and was active primarily in the 1950s and 60s. This Navan Kachina stands 12 1/2 inches tall and is excellent condition. There is a small piece missing from the carved fox pelt... see pics.! There is no signature on the bottom of his foot as he was once on a stand and when removed that paint came off. I am beginning this no reserve auction with a low opening bid. This an excellent opportunity to own a White Bear Kachina Doll. There are many examples of his work in Barry Goldwater Collection at the Heard and many of those are in the book: Following the Sun and the Moon by Alph Secakuku. The winning bidder pays $15 for S&H. Int'l bidders pay $30. I am listing more Vintage Kachina Dolls over the coming weeks. Thanks for looking!
