- Rare Hunter Watch Case Compass Original- Early 20 th Century - - made by Opasco Paris - is a working vintage rare French Hunter Watch Case Compass in it's original case. I am listing with a low starting bid and no reserve....... Thanks for looking and good luck. Material: Brass Size: 1 3/4" in diameter Crystal: Glass w/ bevel Needle: Jeweled, blued Graduations: Degrees, per 20, in full circle Weight: 1 oz. Stop: Originally manual, via lever on side ( see condition description below ) Date: Early 20th century Character: When closed it folds into a pocket-watch style Fob. Markings: OPSACO Paris Made in France ( see condition description below ) Manufacturer: OPSACO Condition: The Case has no dents or dings. The brass case has some wear, especially inside center cover. The case has crude monogram âe Blarekâe, the bail or bow is securely in place. The sliding button is present, so the stop is operative. The lever for the needle lifter is not present, and seems inoperative. The beveled glass crystal is in great shape, with no cracks or chips, and it's clean and clear. The silvered bright and clear. The lid fits snug around the compass body and must be pulled apart manually. The jeweled, blued needle has a bright finish and is very sensitive and accurate.
