This is a vintage American Indian piece from a local estate. I know the family, so I am certain this has some age, but not how old exactly. I know little of this field. This is either a placemat, small rug, or some fabric accoutrement, probably for the tourist trade, 1940's-1950's. It is hand woven, probably wool, good colors, and no damage. This is thick, and has tassels at the corners. I have no idea of the tribe, or the significance of the four figures. This is about 24" by 32". Sharp colors, and fairly soft, many knots per square inch. I am selling two other related woven pieces found in the same trunk currently, please see my other items for sale.
