Penelope and Kipper to therescue! This pure Irish linen tea towel was made by Ulster and depicts two of the Pony Girl characters. The cartoonist Thelwell is regarded as the unofficial artist of the British countryside and is known as one of the most popular cartoonist in Britain. He became famous with his cartoons of little girls and their little fat ponies. It is in excellent, unused condition and measures 31” x 19”.
