This is a detailed nearly full scale replica set of 2 Samurai Warrior's arrows that were displayed during Boys' Day (May 5th) in a traditional Japanese household. They are made of a type of bamboo shaft along with unusual broadhead tip that have a cherry blossom cutout (see picture 9 and others). They seem very authentic down to the pheasant feathers and bone notch (see picture 8). The bone end string notch seen in picture 8 would date this set of arrows to the early Showa time period (c. 1930's). The broadheads are removable from the shaft (see picture 6). Measuring 23 1/2" in length (60 cm) they remain in very fine condition .
