From my personal collection is this nice assortment of dinnerware by Johnson Brothers, England of the popular pattern, " Friendly Village ." It is a mix of vintage and newer pieces passed down from my grandmother, some bought at antique shops, while others were gifts. I've collected it for years and have an over abundance (I'll never have 30 people to dinner!), so these are my extra pieces. A large majority of these I never used and are in near new condition, most are in super condition, (unless otherwise stated). Super condition to me means no chips, cracks, repairs or utensil marks, (t are just a few pieces that have very light surface crazing, barely noticeable). The following is a listing of the name of each piece, color* of the Johnson Bros. mark, and condition: *(I did have trouble trying to decide what color some of the marks are, the older marks look like a light olive green, but they could be brown .... hummmm, maybe they're a duller tone of black???? Anyway, if you have to know the exact color of a mark on a particular piece, email me and I'll send a close-up photo along so you can decide.) (4) 10 ½" Banquet Plates, all are of "The Well," 1 black stamp, 1 brown mark and 2 green marks, super condition. (1) 2-piece set includes small round 4" diameter butter lid with finial on 6 ½" plate, "Sugar Maples," no mark on lid, looks like a light brown or black mark on saucer, super condition. (8) 4 1/8" coasters with various scenes, some repeats (see photos), 4 green and 3 black marks, super condition. (4) 3 ¼" high, 3 ¼" diameter opening large 8 oz. mugs, impressed mark "Made in England," on all, 3 are in super condition, 1 has a tight crack from rim almost to base but still holds liquid. (4) 3" high, 2 ¾" diameter opening small 6 oz. mugs, impressed mark, all have what looks like light olive green or light brown mark, super condition. (2) 2 ¾" high, 6" across handle to handle sugar bowls, both have what appear to be the light olive green or light brown mark, 1 has a tiny chip on underneath of base, otherwise in super condition. (1) 4 ½" diameter lid with finial for sugar bowl, no mark, has tight hairline crack from center out to rim, light crazing. (11) 2 ½" high, 3 ½" diameter cups, all have impressed mark, "Made in England ," 1 has a chip at the base, 1 has a suspect hairline around outside of base, otherwise they are in great condition. (11) 5 ¾" diameter saucer, all have a brown or green mark, 1 has crazing, 1 has several fleabites underneath along rim.* *T are nine cup and saucer sets that are in great condition. This set, unwrapped weighs 20 lbs., so it's fairly heavy. I'll mail it via UPS to save money for the winner.
