Approximate Dimensions for Storage: base 19cm x 26.5cm; height about 22cm when handle fully screwed down Tin Dimensions: 9cm x 14.5cm and 12cm x 19cm Identifying Marks: Tala MADE IN ENGLAND on top of handle Materials and Design: The surrounding pressing mechanism looks like iron though not as heavy as you would expect. I think the tins are aluminium. Two different size tins depending on the size you want to press. Use: Joints of meat are placed in the tin with the base in place and covered by the flat pieces of metal provided. Pressure is applied on top of the metal plates so that the meat is pressed into shape. I have seen these also shown as being for cheese pressing but I'm not sure and please bear in mind that the base is loose even though there is a lip around the base of each tin to hold it in place. Condition: Metals darkened in places and all needs a good clean. Some paint missing from the outer press and a rusted areas where this has happened. However, all is complete with both tins having original bases and press lids and the screw pressing mechanism works well.
