This is one of the beautiful stencils that Shiny Brite made back in the 1950's and difficult to find in this size. The glass ball has a silver background and contains a stunning turquoise satin center band. It measures 3-1/8" wide and 3-3/4" tall not including the loop. This is a larger than average ornament! It has a beautiful stencil of holly leaves and stars amidst a "Merry Christmas" greeting written in script; the scene repeats itself on the reverse side. Rather than being finished in white paint, this stencil has been finished with shimmering white mica snow which is rather unusual. The pure white mica looks wonderful on the turquoise satin background. The ornament is in very good condition with some paint loss as you can see in the photos, but not bad at all. The stencil has some spots of mica loss but overall it is beautiful and sparkling. Displays beautifully.I have more LARGE ornaments with different stencils and in various colors up for sale. They would make great gifts!
