Vintage Lionel Motor made for the U.S.Navy during World War 2 (1941 to 1945). A great item for the Lionel Collector, Vintage Motor Collector or just a Tinkerer that can use a multi-purpose powerful Small Motor. According to a wonderful book "Inside The Lionel Trains Fun Factory" by Robert J. Osterhoff, this motor was used by the U.S. Navy to power windshield wipers on Ships. Motor measures: L = 7", H = 3 1/2", W = 4". Motor weighs 4 pounds and 7 oz. I have several of these motors so the one pictured may not be the one you receive. All are unused and have been tested and function properly. There is a Lionel tag tied on to each one that shows a date from 1941 to 1945 although some dates are penciled in so lightly they are unreadable. MOTOR FEATURES:Heavy Metal Construction. 115 Volts AC at 6 Amps (Household Power). Main Shaft turns 5000 RPM. Side Shaft has 8.5 to 1 Gear reduction. Both Shafts are .312 inch Diameter. 1/50 HP. Sturdy Cast Iron Mounting Base. Two Spring Capped Oil Ports. Two wire leads for 115VAC power source. Look over all 13 pictures carefully as they show condition well. NO RESERVE. E-mail me with any questions. Shipping and insurance costs of $8.00 in the USA. No shipping to foreign countries. PayPal payment for IMMEDIATE shipping. Other forms of payment OK but will delay shipping. Good luck.
