The toy department of Louis Vuitton was founded by Mrs. Gaston Vuitton.( Guston-Louis , Vuitton's wife had become personally involved in the founding of the toy department. The toy department endured until well after the move to Avenue Marceau in 1954.Vintage Dancer Domed Music Box Is Designed And Made By Louis Vuitton. Musical movement was made by Swiss ReugeVery Unique and Rare To Find One Of A Kind L.V. Handmade ItemThis is a wonderful Vintage Louis Vuitton music box. It has a glass dome. The bottom of the glass dome and wooden base are trimmed and decorated in gold, Dresden, paper trim.The wood music box and dome measures approx. 7 3/4 " high. The wooden base measures approx. 5 1/4 " in diameter.When wound the music plays. The finely dressed dancers spin and dance. They are very well handmade with fantastic detail. Their dresses are just magnificent !Beautiful
