This is a wonderful lot of vintage New York Knights Templar memorabilia dating from the beginning of the 20th century. The first item up is a Belt Buckle for Poughkeepsie No. 43 Commandery of Knights Templar . It measures ~ 2.8hx2.4w" (7x6cm) and appears to be brass. The center cross and Maltese cross are enameled in translucent red. Note, the enamel on the upper and lower parts of the Maltese cross is damaged, but otherwise the buckle is in good condition. The second item is a fob like medal from the 1913 annual conclave of New York Knights Templar in Albany N.Y. The 1913 conclave was actually the one hundredth anniversary of the first annual conclave. The center features a beautifully done relief of a knight on horse back riding down and spearing a dragon. I believe this would have been originally part of a commemorative ribbon medal which was made for the St. Georges Commandery No. 37 of Schenectady N.Y. It measures ~1.5" (4cm) in diameter. Originally it was probably all gold tone, but it has darkened with age. Still a well cast commemorative medal. The third item are two Knights Templar buttons with the KT cross & crown symbol and the moto "In Hoc Signo Vinces". The faces appear to be aluminum and measure ~1.5" (14mm) in diameter. The backs appear to be brass and were made by the Pettibone Mfg. Co. Overall the buttons appear read more
