Vintage Mexican Ceramic Pottery Tile Mural Uriarte TalaveraArtes Folklorico presents a vintage Mexican ceramic pottery tile mural by the celebrated Uriarte Studio which is located southeast of Mexico City in Puebla, Mexico. The mural is comprised of nine tiles each measuring 5-1/2 inches by 5-1/2 inches by 3/8-inches in depth. The overall composition measures 16-1/2 inches by 16-1/2 inches. The scene showcases a rural farming landscape with a beautiful woman in the right foreground and majestic mountains in the background. There is a beautiful cobalt blue border around all the peripheral tiles. The tiles are in excellent unused vintage condition (see photographs). The lower right tile is signed with the Uriarte Y and U mark followed by two dots. The two dots represent the artist who painted the tiles (possibly Enrique Ventosa or Concha G.). We date the tile mural to circa 1910s-30s. A museum quality find for anyone that collects vintage, old or antique Mexican tiles, pottery, ceramics, folk art, Talavera or the amazing work of the Uriarte Studio.
