Mickey Mouse Wrapping Paper - Vintage Circa 1935 Extra Large Piece A very rare, complete section from an original store-sized, commercial roll of Mickey & Disney wrapping paper Circa 1935. This section is 10' (FEET) long, with an additional odd sized square piece. This paper was designed for Dept. Store use. This section of an industrial roll features the best of the Walt Disney Enterprises" character set. The pattern is a Blue & White checked or plaid design featuring images of pie-eyed Mickey, Minnie, an early long-billed Donald, Pluto and "The Goof." These images and the piece come from one of the best periods of Disney merchandising. If you've ever seen, or are lucky to own, an original '30s Disney Merchandising Catalog from Kay Kamen Enterprises, you would see the prolific group of merchandise licensed for sale. Many of those products were sold exclusively through the great independent Dept Stores of the period. Also featured in these catalogs are the now very rare "supporting products" that helped market and sell the merchandise - for use in the stores' windows, on their walls and of course in their gift wrapping shop!
