This is a superb US military parka made by Greenbrier, probably in the 1980s. It’s designed for extreme cold weather and it delivers. The sage colour outer shell is 80% cotton/20% nylon so it wears well. It is padded with polyester throughout the body and sleeves while the snorkel hood has a deep pile lining. The hood’s original artificial fur trim has been replaced with genuine fox fur so it’s really luxurious and keeps out the cold even better. The parka has all the best features: a heavy duty Scovill brass zip; inner and outer storm flaps, the outer with button closure; waist height drawcord to keep out draughts; warm lined hand-warmer pockets; zipped sleeve pocket with pen slots; flapped warm lined hip level pockets with leather reinforcement at the openings; knitted storm cuffs; and a volume adjustable hood. It is in extremely good, very lightly used condition. The marked size is XX-SMALL - a rarity! It’s actually not all that small as it’s designed to go over uniform. Over a t-shirt and sweater it would fit a man with a 36-38 chest or a woman UK size 8-12. It wouldn't however do for anyone too tall as the sleeves are a bit short - the reason for my very reluctant sale. Actual measurements are: armpit to armpit (inside) 21“; neck to hem 31“; armpit to cuff 17“; neck to cuff over shoulder (raglan sleeve) 31.5”. The storm cuff read more
