Beautiful vintage Mintons England plate measuring about 10 1/4" in diameter in a lovely green and polychrome oriental style! Printed mark on back reads Mintons. But impressed mark reads Minton..I am not an expert, but looking at the marks on back, it looks like the plate dates from sometime between 1912 and the early 1920s. Looks to be a combination of transfer printing with some hand painting. It is in excellent, near mint condition! The only things I spotted were fairly minor such as a bit of rubbing along some of the edges, a tiny pin point size brown pit looking item(see last picture), some streaking through out much of the green background w some of the green looks somewhat lighter or whiter than the rest of the green(this is not always evident in the photos)and a stray tiny mark or two. See some examples in the pictures. I also wanted to mention that when I bought the plate at auction it had a sticker on it that was difficult to remove. I used Goo Gone followed by soap and water and the label came off without any apparent mark or damage to the plate. Please note that the plate is being sold for display or collection purposes only and is not intended to be used as a dish to put food on or to eat from.
