Vintage MITCHELL Pre 300 Spinning Reel, 1951-1952 full bail, box & extra spool. This is a nice example of an early 4th version of the Mitchell spinning reel. It has S/N C28702 stamped on the back bottom, the C prefix dates it as 1951-1952. It comes as shown with the smaller spool on the reel and the larger one in its case. The larger spool appears to be unused. This reel also comes with its original box and owner manual which describes how to use and care for your reel. This reel is in good condition with minor wear on the case and foot. The bail, crank and spool action all seem to work very well, proper lubrication and maintenance is recommended.
