Nakamichi 680 Discrete Head Cassette Deck My husband and I bought this exceptionally well preserved Cassette Deck, new, in 1975 , in Tucson, AZ, w we met as grad students at the U of A. We bought an entire high end stereo system, with the following additional components- Mitsubishi: DA-P20 Preamp, DA-M10 Power Level Meter/ DA-A15DC Power Amp, DA-F20 Tuner, and JBL L220 Speakers, (also for sale on ebay). (I was 25 back then, and as we are approaching our later years, we find that we no longer use our stereo system. It sits in the shelves we had custom made for it, a memorable friend. A Christian now, I listen primarily to Bible teaching, (John MacArthur @ ), and my husband would rather watch TV, than listen to music. You might say, we are retired from the good old sounds, indefinitely!) But we would like to find a good home for each of our components.... This Nakamichi 680 Discrete Head Cassette Deck , delivers quality and performance. It operates with smooth precision. The manual states that: It utilizes micro-precision Crystalloy record and play heads. It has half-speed capability and incorporates a micro-processor which provides random access capability.
