VINTAGE OBSOLETE BRITISH DEVON & CORNWALL CONSTABULARY BALL TOP BOBBY HELMETSTAMPED CHRISTYS LONDON ...MAKER OF MILITARY AND CONSTABULARY FOR MANY YEARS"Due to the high head injuries sustained by British Constables during the riots and strikes in the 1970/80's the British Home Office mandated the replacement of the issue soft cork helmets with a safer stronger safety helmet material for the helmet body and a inner padded lining.
