This is a vintage Oldsmobile Service dealership sign. Circa 1965. This sign hung outside of the service entrance of Vic Yarrington Olds in Topeka Kansas for years. It was originally a two-sided sign with fluorescent lighting inside. During many years of storage, the back plexi panel has been mostly broken out. The front side is still in excellent shape except for the a small crack on the right-lower corner of the OLDSMOBILE lettering and a larger piece missing from the 'O' in OLDSMOBILE. Thankfully, the one good area left on the back side of the sign contains a nice-condition letter 'O', so the sign could be patched - which I intended to do but alas, I am out of time and divorce forces the liquidation of most of my cool stuff. The sign still has the wiring and fixtures inside for the fluorescent bulbs. Colors on the sign are vibrant with no apparent fading. The sign is approximately 6' wide by 5' tall and about a 1.5 feet thick. Please look at the pictures. The mannequin in the pictures is standing right next to the sign so that should give you some idea of the sign's size. Very cool and VERY impressive to have in your shop if you are and Olds nut like me. Due to the fragile nature of this item, I will not be willing to ship it. Purchaser must pick up in Topeka, KS.
