Once in a while I come across movie props that were used in some of the westerns shot here in Santa Fe and around New Mexico . I got this vintage hat in with a large collection others from a local costumer. An older 1980s STETSON 4-X Beaver. The hat a 6 inch "Open Range" crown with a 3 1/3" brim. Color is black. Size is a sloose 7 1/8. Please check your circumference with a cloth tape before bidding? Check the chart for your size. WINNER-- WILL NOT BE MAILED UNLESS YOU CONFIRM YOUR HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE. Good hat for a SASS shooter. No odor or moth damage but is ranch dirty. We have 3 big western movie sets (towns) here in Santa Fe including the Eaves Movie Ranch, Ford Movie Set and the Bonanza Creek Movie Set. 3-4 movies are being shot here most of the time. I rode as a stunt rider in several westerns including The Magnificent Seven, on the sorrel. Hundreds of westerns have been shot here over the years including Lonesome Dove, Silverado, 3:10 to Yuma , True Grit and many more. Study the pictures before bidding, and ask question if you are unclear about anything. We described things as best we can but we are not experts in every field.
