Pair of Murano Seguso End of Day Lamps c. 1950's DESCRIPTION: Pair of Mid-Twentieth-Century Murano Glass Lamps. This color is reminiscent of the orange creamsicle popsicles you'd buy off the ice cream truck in the 50's and 60's. The lamps are "end of day" with vibrant colors and patterns. The hues range from brilliant orange and fades upward to a cream color. The lamp bases are brass with a gold-leaf finish. There is a 14kt gilt rim around the top, middle, and bottom of the lamps. Some wearing to the gilt rims consistent with age and does not detract. This is a remarkable pair of lamps, not only because of the brilliant colors, because there will never be another pair exactly like these. This color combination is scarce and very hard to find in Italian Murano Glass. The lamps are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Any inconsistencies enhance the authentic hand blown glass. The pair of lamps will include the original natural color burlap lamp shades. The lamps are in perfect working order and wired to meet U.S. standards. Estate listed these as "Pair of Murano Seguso End of Day Lamps c. 1950's". NOTE: We do advise consulting with your own electrician before installing any vintage or antique lighting in your home.
