I'm offering for bids the nicest pair of KUTANI Shi-Shi/Shi-Sha Temple Guard Lion Dogs! As with my other current listings, I never intended on parting with this beautiful pair. But since my Japanese Wife's passing in January, I am relocating back to Japan and am/will be selling most of the treasures that we've collected over the past 20 years or so. These are not cheap, export pieces. They were made as presentation pieces and positively show it. T are subtle differences between the male and female evident in the ball colors. The bottom of the male figure is clearly signed on the ball with embossed stamp and hand signed in black ink by the artist on the left, rear foot. The female measures just under 12" tall and approximately 9 1/2" long. Each piece weighs approximately 9 lbs each! Absolutely no damages whatsoever to distract from their beauty or value! This is a set of mint, vintage Shi-Shi Dogs that will attract attention and continue to climb in value over the years! I emphasize that these were not made as cheap tourist pieces or export; they are presentation quality! Note that I fully guarantee read more
