Presenting an 'Old Pawn', Sterling Silver and Turquoise, cuff/bracelet. It is an intricately designed, hollow, overlay cuff, containing a bezel set, Turquoise stone. The natural shaped stone is surrounded by Silver braiding. There is an oval swirl, blackened and stamped, in the shadowbox design, continuing to the sides of the cuff. Creative stamping is found around the edges of the cuff.(see photos). The cuff may possibly be Hopi, since they were known for hollow cuffs. The large size cuff, measures 1 3/8" wide, and is approximately, 6 3/4" from end to end, plus an added 1 1/2" opening. It retains its original shape. The weight is 72.3 grams. It bears an engraved, maker's mark, 'AM'. The cuff is unpolished, exhibiting a darkened patina. Part of my personal collection. A real beauty!
