You are bidding on a Vintage Wooden Cheese Bucket. It is unusual to have a handle. It appears to be made of pine except for the handle which looks to be oak. I don't know when this was made but have owned it for over 30 years. The bucket or box is constructed by wrapping a thin 3/4" piece of wood around the bucket and then attaching the overlapped ends with metal staples. The top is made in a similar fashion. The bucket is fitted with different width pieces around the circumference leading me to believe this bucket is quite old. The oak handle is attached with wooden pegs and rotates easily. The bucket measures 7 1/2"high. It is 8 3/4" wide at the base and 8" wide at the top. The bucket finish shows some wear but has mellowed to a beautiful color. The inside is clean. You are buying this in as-bought-in-condition as seen in the photos. This item is from a smoke free home. T are no smells. I am happy to answer any questions you have.
