Good day !Today, I have a Vintage Pyrex Starburst Turquoise 575-B 2 Quart Casserole Dish.This was moms "go to" casserole dish for scalloped potatoes and "mac & cheese" for over 50 years! The blue color and gold "starburst" pattern are still nice! It has a small chip in one handle ( please see the last three pictures). This vintage Pyrex casserole represents a unique period in American history! The "starburst" motif captures subjects so popular back in the day, such as "The Space Race", nuclear science, and advances in electronics . The turquoise color was also popular in Mid Century American kitchens, in the form of paint color, wall tile, upholstery, and other household items. Serve your children or grandchildren some "mac & cheese" from this casserole, while giving them a "American history" lesson !
