I believe this vintage brass extinguisher is from the early 50's, possibly even from the late 40's. I bought it at an estate auction, and was told that this was mounted in the cabin of a boat. It has everything inside of it, and it has the original mounting bracket with it, and all in good condition. The extinguisher reads in part: GENERAL QUICK AID FIRE GUARD MODEL 95 HD. (THE GENERAL DETROIT CORP. DETROIT, MICH. U.S.A.) and (THE GENERAL PACIFIC CORP. LOS ANGELES, CALIF. U.S.A.) You know its an early extinguisher because the handle reads: PAT. PENDING. Measures about 17 inches long, and about 3 inches diameter.
