Vintage RadioShack Minimus-7W Wood Bookshelf Speaker The Minimus 7 family of speakers was popular at Radio Shack stores for 27 years, being introduced in 1978. It has undergone a few minor design changes since its introduction but the basic design remains the same because it was extremely good to begin with. The original enclosure was cast aluminum with a metal grille. Only a few were made with the "walnut" wooden enclosures and cloth grilles, like these excellent examples! They are still so popular that you can actually buy modification and upgrade kits for these speakers on eBay. The Minimum 7's won raves from audio critics for pace setting performance in small speakers in their time. They are small only in size, not sound! A high-compliance woofer provides outstanding bass, while the dome tweeter produces crisp, detailed highs. These speakers offer a great sound in a very small speaker. They work great with a nice clean sound to my ears - clear highs, good mids and decent bass for this size speaker. Of course, how they sound is just my opinion and not guaranteed but you do get my 7-day guarantee that the speakers will be working and described accurately or your money back (details below). Features wood cabinets with few superficial blemishes and minor scratches but no significant dings! Features 55 watts power handling, 8 ohms, read more
