This auction offers you the opportunity to bid on a nice vintage antique set of two country french provincial single drawer nightstands that a well made heavy duty set of nightstands from around the mid 1900's . Each one is a single drawer serpentine front nightstand that stand 27.5" high and is 23.5" wide by 16.5" in depth from front to back. The single drawer has a lovely ornate brass pull. They joined with dove tails , opening and closing smoothly. They have the original old gilt high lighted shabby paint finish with natural chippy ,shabby look and gold gilt highlights. This are a nice solid set of two nightsstands. All heavy duty wood with an ornate serpentine front dresser top with a stepped edge. Decoratove front columns columns It stands on carved cabriole type legs and curled provincial feet. Perfect for use as is after cleaning and waxing. If you want the original old paint finish with the old gold highlights etc, you could seal the surface as is, or a fresh white coat of paint if you like. Whatever finish you decide on, you will have a wonderful dresser that will last many more years. This is a very well made chest that will last for lifetimes.It match a full bedroom suite selling in seperate auctions right now. This auction is for the 2 nightstands only.
