Please scroll down for the text description and for more pictures. ~~Up for your bidding consideration is a TLC lot consisting of a vintage Skipper doll - starter clothing pieces - and a blue double-door Skipper doll case. This auction is NOT for the mint or near mint collector. Most of the clothing pieces are in good to very good condition. All pieces do have issues. Some just may need a good cleaning while others will need seams repaired, snaps resown, etc.Offered for your bidding consideration is a vintage blond 1964 Straight Leg Skipper doll wearing her original issue swimsuit, plus a few starter fashion pieces, and double door case.This little cutie would be perfect for your talents of restoration or a 'One of a Kind' project. Skipper doll has no major issues such as green tarnish, earring holes, neck splits, nips or vinyl dings - no missing hair plugs - hair is of the coarse variety. Make-up is all original. IMPERFECTIONS: Lips have turned to a hint of pink/white with chipping along the edges of both the upper and lower. One eyebrow has faded from outer tip to nearly half. There is a light purplish spot at the corner of her lips - just where the cheek swells out, and her face and arms have turned about one shade darker than her body. Hair has some breakage and tends to lean towards being dry/brittle. There is some light pink staining to one leg, one ankle turns slightly outward, and there is a vinyl bubble on her calf (please see picture). Note: Bubble is not raised/loose from the leg like a blister - it is solid. This is a manufacture goof-up. One arm is a bit loose but holds most poses.Skipper doll's original issue swimsuit is in good condition. Traditional splits at the folding door corners inside and out - longest split about 1 inches (splits on this case are not bad at all). Hardware has rust and there are yellow spots scattered on the top - handle is not broken. A handmade elastic strap has been added to hold the doll in place. Also included are ten [10] generic hangers. Great little case for storage.NOTE: Most vintage cases will have an aged vinyl scent.
