South Bend Tarpon Special Catalog Number: 978. Length Of Lure: 8". Eyes: Pressed Eyes. Years Made: 1951-1953; Only Two Years! Color: MS(2), Blue Mullet Scale. Hooks: 2 Large Songle 11/0 Hooks Hardware: Breakaway rig. Only two colors were made of this year, both are tough to find. Condition: The hardware is show no signs of being in salt water, with no corrosion. There are age cracks around the lure, none are legnthwise. 2 Chips in the paint at the nose 2 hook pointers at the top of the lure behind the eyes. The tail has three spots where the paint finish has been damaged, it looks like it might have been dropped and marred the paint. On the top of the tail of the lure, paint has pulled up, but is not missing. See the photos for details about this lure.
