This auction is for an vintage (recently made, unused) barbed fishing spear from Thailand. Six heavy wire tines brazed to a round tang. The tines are tapered to fine, sharp points with well-defined barbs. The tang tapers to a square-sectioned point. Brass-colored ferrule for attaching point to bamboo shaft. Looks delicate but is really very strong. Would be perfect for frogs, fish, eels etc. Neat display item or put it in your bug out bag. Measures 11 1/2" overall with 6" tines. No rust or other damage. Listing many other spears and arrows this week. Always willing to combine shipping when possible. Items will ship Priority Mail unless otherwise requested. International shipping available, please ask. I ship Wednesdays and Saturdays; auctions ending Sunday will ship the following Wednesday and auctions ending Wednesday will ship the following Saturday. Thanks for checking out my items. I collect primitive archery artifacts (really, any old or primitive projectile weapon) and archery books. I usually have several archery items and books for sale. As you can probably tell from my user ID I sell a few fishing and hunting/sporting books as well. Any statements regarding tribal affiliation or age are based on extensive research on my part, mostly online but from my library as well. Please feel free to ask questions about this item or read more
