You are bidding on a vintage souvenir card from a circus exhibition or sideshow. The card features the Carolina Twins, Millie and Christine McKoy, who were born as slaves in 1851. In addition to having been billed as the Carolina Twins, they were billed as the "2 headed girl"and the "2 headed monstrosity" and appeared at P.T. Barnum's American Museum in New York. The card was printed by J.W. Hurn, Philadelphia, and is dated 1866 on the back. This card was just found in a local attic, stuck away in the pages of an old catalog. It is a real beauty, showing only very minor ware, and is fully guaranteed to be old and original. Please ask any questions prior to bidding, as all sales are final, and items are sold as found. Returns are offered only if the item description does not match the item. This is a 5 day, unreserved auction. International orders are always encouraged and will be shipped via insured international priority mail, at the exact cost to the buyer. Paypal is my requested method of payment. If you wish to pay another way, that is ok too. Insured, standard shipping is $5.00. Check out the other attic fresh, ephemera I currently have listed. fresh out of a great upstate attic. I am always glad to combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
