For sale is a vintage Catholic reliquary with relic. This piece comes from a local estate, so I don't know it's history very well. It has a small label which reads ST PETRI AP. which I believe is Saint Peter (AP = Apostle?). Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. The reliquary measures a hair under 1 1/4" in diameter, and also has a small bail so it could be worn as a pendant if desired. When removing the back you can see it has an intact papal wax seal (see images). The reliquary itself shows VERY light signs of use and has probably been handled very few times in it's life. It comes with the original COA paperwork which is water damaged. You can still read the text, and the date it was issued, 1964. The certificate is official and in Latin, and the last image is a close up of the text if you would like to decipher it for more information. This is quite an unusual piece as you don't see these sorts of things often. It would be an excellent addition to any religious memorabilia collection!
