This is a Vintage Stanley Box Mitre Saw Model No. 358. It is in good condition for it's age. The Mitre Saw Box is marked with the date 1-2-12 and the frame is in very good condition. The plate on the end of the box says "Stanley Mitre Box No. 358 Frame No. 3 Back Saw 28 x 5, Stanley Rule and Level Plant, The Stanley Works, New Britain, Conn. USA. The angle swing arm works great, swings easily and locks firmly into detents. The saw guide and holders work very easily and well with the top locks easily hooking and unhooking to raise and lower the saw. The table measures about 21" long by 15 1/2" Deep and overall height with the saw guides in place is about 17" tall. I removed the saw guides for shipping purposes. All bolts and adjusters seem to be in good condition. T is a small additional piece that is marked 3-4 on one side and US Pat'd 10-31-16 on the other that I am no sure what it is for but it measures about 5" tall and has a 2 1/2" base. It came with the saw so I assume it goes with it for some purpose. The saw itself is about 33" long by 6" high and slide very easily into the guides on the mitre box. The saw is marked Stanley and bears a heart shaped emblem with a "SW" inside the heart shape. Also marked on this saw are the words "Made expressly for The Stanley Rule and Level Plant" and Simonds Manufacturing Company Saw Works, read more
