So much more Barbie to love!Supersize Barbie was made by Mattel from 1977-1979. This beautiful doll has very pretty silky hair, vibrant make-up that highlights her lovely blue eyes and good TNT waist motion. She has two earring holes but no earrings. Also there is a small indentation on her check which almost looks like an intentional dimple but is not. Just like a fabulous red carpet starlet, she is sewn into her dress and I have not attempted to take it off. This beautiful wedding gown is of lace with flower applique. There is a slight shimmer to the flowers which makes it a bit glamorous. The train of the dress is very long and when spread out really shows the gorgeous detail of the piece. There is a tear at the elbow where the lace has ripped. Barbie is also wearing wonderful lace thigh highs and matching white shoes. She also has a “pearl” ring on her finger. The original owner was quite a well-known collector and this particular doll and outfit was very prominently displayed in her home. This listing is for SuperSize Barbie and Custom Wedding Ensemble as shown in pictures. This doll is from the estate of a well known and much loved west coast Barbie collector whose dolls were featured in several popular books on Barbie. She had a discriminating eye, excellent fashion sense, and collected with true passion. She was thoughtful, and kept her collection in a pet and smoke free and temperature-controlled environment.
