A super true vintage Susie Cooper designed, hand painted set of six coffee cans and saucers, a dinky sugar bowl and a “kestrel” shaped milk jug in the orange “Polka dots” pattern. Made specifically for John Lewis from the 1930s, some marked with the John Lewis back stamp,(John Lewis Polka Dots) one with “Susie cooper”. These are original pieces of pottery and not recent reproduction. The paintwork is in excellent condition with no crazing, chips, cracks or repairs. Some firing marks, not easily spotted, but these do not detract from this fun set. Selling only as running out of room, either the pottery or the Husband must go! Approximate dimensions: Coffee cans: 5.5cm high x5.4 cm dia. Saucers: 11.5 cm dia. Sugar bowl: 4.5 cm high x 10cm dia. Milk Jug: 8cm high x 8.5 cm I always pack very securely.
